Refugees at work: the catalyst of social integration

Refugee employment is a crucial means of social integration and intercultural enrichment, beyond helping to address labour force imbalances. In the European Union, however, it takes a refugee between 15 and 19 years to reach average employment levels.

In the 2017 white paper ‘The Labour Market Integration of Refugees’, the Adecco Group raises awareness of the potentials and the pitfalls, makes policy recommendations and shares best practices from 18 European employers.

In this video, Simona Scarpaleggia shares Ikea Switzerland’s lessons learnt, highlighting how awareness has the power to trump fears.

On June 20, the Adecco Group France releases a new white paper featuring cases studies and recommendations from private and public players on the path towards social integration of refugees. Stay tuned to learn more about the report.
